Instructions to make Pan de muerto:
Recuerda no agregues harina.
Use Food to Elevate Your Mood
For the most part, people have been trained to believe that “comfort” foods are bad for the body and need to be avoided. However, if your comfort food is candy or junk food this might be true. Other times, comfort foods can be perfectly nutritious and good for us to consume. Several foods honestly do boost your mood when you consume them. If you are feeling a little bit down and you’re needing an emotional pick me up, try a number of these.
Eggs, you may be amazed to learn, are wonderful at combating depression. You need to make sure, though, that what you make includes the yolk. The egg yolk is the part of the egg that is the most crucial in terms of helping you cheer up. Eggs, the yolk especially, are rich in B vitamins. These B vitamins are terrific for helping to improve your mood. This is because they help improve the function of your neural transmitters, the components of your brain that control your mood. Consume an egg and jolly up!
Make a trail mixfrom a variety of seeds and nuts. Almonds, cashews, peanuts, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, and so on are all helpful for elevating your mood. This is possible as these foods are rich in magnesium which promotes serotonin production. Serotonin is the “feel good” natural substance that dictates to your brain how you feel all the time. The more of this chemical in your brain, the happier you’ll feel. Not only that but nuts, particularly, are a great protein food source.
Cold water fish are excellent for eating if you wish to fight depression. Salmon, herring, tuna, mackerel, trout, etc, they’re all loaded with omega-3 fatty acids and DHA. These are two things that truly help the grey matter in your brain work a lot better. It’s the truth: eating tuna fish sandwiches can really help you overcome your depression.
Some grains are actually wonderful for driving away bad moods. Quinoa, millet, teff and barley are all really great for helping boost your happiness levels. These grains can help you feel full for longer also, which can help your mood too. Feeling famished can actually make you feel terrible! These grains can elevate your mood because it’s easy for your body to digest them. These foods are easier to digest than others which helps kick start a rise in your blood glucose which in turn kicks up your mood to a happier place.
Your mood could actually be helped by green tea. You were simply expecting to read that, weren’t you? Green tea has been found to be rich in an amino acid known as L-theanine. Studies have found that this amino acid actually induces brain waves. This helps focus your mental energy while simultaneously calming your body. You knew that green tea helps you be better. Now you are aware that it helps you to lift your moods also!
Now you know that junk food isn’t necessarily what you have to eat when you are wanting to help your moods get better. Try a few of these suggestions instead.
