- Prepare 4 cup Milk
Instructions to make Kerala Semiya Payasam:
- Heat ghee in a pan.
- Fry the cashew nuts and raisins in ghee.
- When the color of cashews and raisins turn golden, take it out and keep it aside.
- Roast semiya in remaining ghee for 3-4 minutes and keep aside.
- Boil the milk in a vessel.
- Add semiya into the boiled milk and stir it well.
- Boil the mix for about 10-15 minutes (stir it occasionally).
- When the semiya is cooked well, add the cardamom powder and sugar.
- Mix well and cook for a minute.
- Switch off the flame and transfer payasam in serving bowl.
- Garnish with fried cashews, raisins and almond flakes.
